The South Carolina's Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Freshwater Fisheries Section notifies a series of four regional public open houses to debate recommended changes to South Carolina state laws governing freshwater fishing. The objectives of these recommended changes are to advocate uniformity and streamline the laws to safeguard an appropriate administration.

Each open house will commence with a short demonstration on the recommended changes, accomplished steps and future actions. Subsequently, all attendees will be encouraged to talk about particular reforms with DNR fisheries biologists, legal staff and law enforcement officers. Attendees will also have the chance to offer their written comments. DNR will have answers to remarks received by residents through the online request for responses on Chapter 13 and the revised suggested regulations by early July. All replies will be posted on the DNR website.
